Many of the files on this course web page are in the Portable Document Format (PDFs), designated by the '.pdf' extension. To view these files, download them to a directory on your local computer and use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDF files. Shareware versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader are available for PC, Macintosh, and HP and SUN workstations.
Note that if you have multiple copies of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you need to make sure that your web browser has a path set to the most recent version in order for the reader to work properly. In Netscape, this is done by setting the pathname for the PDF helper under the General Preferences list on the Options menu.
