Multi-user MIMO
The interaction between multi-user diversity and spatial diversity is
assessed in [1], [2] and [3] by investigating the performance of STBC
with scheduling algorithms. They consider a scenario in which K active
data users, each equipped with multiple antenna elements, are served
by a multi-antenna element base station (BS). Using different
scheduling algorithms at the BS, time resources are allocated to the
users in order to facilitate multiuser diversity which enhances the
overall throughput of the system.
