17th Annual Wireless Symposium and
3nd Annual Wireless Summer School
June 6 - 8, 2007
Annual Wireless Symposium
The annual Virginia Tech Symposium on Wireless Personal Communications, held in Blacksburg each June, provides an opportunity for top wireless researchers from industry and academia worldwide to present research findings, discuss emerging technologies, and debate crucial issues to the wireless industry. Sponsored by the Industrial Affiliate program, the symposium is highly technical and draws researchers from around the world to Virginia Tech each summer. Paper sessions comprise the heart of the symposium, while short courses provide an opportunity for learning both the basics and recent breakthroughs in each area. Poster sessions provide an additional opportunity to display research in an informal environment conducive to individual interaction. The symposium provides a technical setting that fosters the exchange of information between academia and industry.
